The Wedding of Angela & Alan

Angela and Alan were married at the ever-lovely Ashton Memorial on Saturday and were blessed with some of the best weather we have seen all winter. Ok so we had a short spell of quite thick fog on the drive from The Ashton to Garstang Country House Hotel, but otherwise, the sun shone beautifully. Angela and Alan were simply a great couple to work with, and I was joined again for the day by Dave as second shooter, who is accompanying me for some wedding experience and doing a great job.

My big brother Adrian turns 50 today! Happy Birthday Ade! To celebrate here's an old shot of dad's that I recently colorized in photoshop showing me as the 'Dirty old man' and Ade as 'Arold.

Until yesterday I thought this image, another from my Small World series (in which miniature figures are photographed on photographs) was lost forever, but thankfully it turned up on a CD when I was looking for something else)/ I just love the way the shadow on the figure looks like it really is coming through the doorway).

NICE Bar, The Storey, Lancaster

It was cocktail night last Friday at Lancaster's newest Bar, the NICE Bar (it stands for Northern Institute of Contemporary Eating), in The Storey on Meeting House Lane, and the place was pretty much packed to the gills. Francesca who runs the bar asked me to pop by and get some snaps of the fun.
