The Wedding of Jill and Paul

Jill being my wife Carol's hairdresser, Carol faced a lifetime of bad hairdo's if I didn't make a good job of Jill's pictures!

The Ashton memorial played backdrop to another fabulous occasion, then it was off to the Lancaster House Hotel to celebrate before the couple left for two weeks in Mexico. Ai Caramba! Have a great time guys!

On me 'ead son!
A clash with the FA Cup Final meant shifting the timing of this shoot last minute, and luckily we missed the worst of the rain to boot (no pun intended!). A series of family group shots for Janet's 60th birthday, taken in the dell at Williamson's Park.

Wray Village Scarecrow Festival 2007

What's not to love about a village that can fill it's gardens and streets for a week every year with 'scarecrows' like this? I love Wray Scarecrow Festival, and even though it was a struggle this year to get my eldest son Stanley to join the rest of the family, he eventually came too and of course enjoyed himself!

One of this year's themes was 'Hollywood', so we had 'Spiderman', 'Mr Bean', 'Wizard of Oz', 'Pirates of the Caribbean', 'Charlie Chaplin', '101 Dalmatians' and plenty more.

If you've never been before, check the Scarecrows link and make a date for next year. You'll thank me!

The Lantern Bearers
The latest collection by poet, Elizabeth Burns is now out, called "The Lantern Bearers" from Shoestring Press. It's very good, you should all rush and buy a copy now, and when you do, if you look on the back cover, you'll see one of my shots of Elizabeth.

Hazelmere Cafe, Grange-Over-Sands
On Saturday I enjoyed a very pleasant morning at the Hazelmere Cafe in Grange-Over-Sands taking some shots of the cafe for a website makeover. Dorothy and Ian, the owners were charming, welcoming and helpful, and afterwards, I took a short stroll around the seafront and reminded myself what a delightful little place Grange is. Well worth a visit if you are in the area, and if you pop into the Hazelmere while you are there, just say I sent you!
