A-Wop-Bop-A-Lu-Bop...

I should have been off on my holidays this weekend, but instead, due to Mrs Beanphoto scraping her eyeball with a hairbrush (ouch!) we ended up in A&E and a weekend at home.

I did however manage to find a few minutes to pop over to Morecambe for the 1950's Tutti Frutti Festival.

Sadly, it was only a few minutes, as Stanley got pretty bored after taking a few snaps and then having an ice cream from the mighty fine and fabulously retro Sunset Ices

Da Da Daa Daaa!
It just doesn't seem to want to stop raining at the moment, but on Saturday afternoon during the wedding of Fran and Brian, for a few brief hours at least, the rain dried up and the sun came out to play. For a moment, I almost thought it was July!

The Lancaster House Hotel (Dalton Suite) was decked out like a little chapel of love, and Fran and Brian were clearly enjoying their day.

And The Avengers shot? Just a fun bit of something they particularly asked for!

Sarah's Boots

You may have noticed an overabundance of shoes in recent blog entries. This is because the latest Flax publication has chosen the said apparel as a main visual design feature.
Hence this entry has no actual photo of the final Flax 3 writer, Sarah Fiske, but rather she is represented by the stand in boots opposite. Nice huh?

Morecambe Kite Festival.

The Morecambe (Catch the Wind) Kite Festival is one of those utterly charming seaside events that remind you of being a kid. Sun, sea, sand, kites and ice creams. What more could a boy want?

Strangely enough, the answer it seems is staying indoors with an x-box! No amount of persuasion or bribery could make my two boys join a family day out, despite the aforementioned delights, so Carol and I instead had a lovely afternoon on our own, walking the Heysham to Morecambe promenade and enjoying the kites without the kids!

Oh Joy!

Inside Lancaster Cathedral.
It was a first time photographing inside Lancaster Cathedral for me last week, when I was invited to be photographer at the wedding of Ray and Jacqueline. It's a magnificent building, which shone despite the apalling weather we have had all week, and indeed that day too. Luckily the sun came out right on cue as the couple walked from the church to meet their guests.

Afterwards it was up to the Lancaster House Hotel for the reception. My warmest congratulations to you both.

Next up on the Flax 3 roster on Friday was David Gaffney.

And after David's shoot the team had some fun shooting everyones shoes as we tried out some ideas.
