That was then but this is now

Last week, before slipping away to celebrate my birthday and my in-laws Golden Wedding anniversary in sunny Derbyshire, I just had chance to slip in a portrait shoot with writer Deborah Swift. I'd shot Dee last year for Litfest but had never been happy with the results and offered to re-shoot when Dee said her publishers needed a portrait for her novel "The Lady's Slipper" which is being published by Macmillan later this year.
My favourite from the previous shoot was not really suitable, here it is together with one from the recent shoot.

Lucy & Matthew's Wedding

Lucy and Matthew married at a new venue to me, the delightful UR Church in Bolton-Le-Sands. I believe a last minute dress hitch held Lucy up somewhat, which had Matt sweating a bit more than usual! It was a beautiful sunny day and the two of them looked great together. The reception afterwards was held at the ever-popular Garstang Country Hotel, where I grabbed as many group shots and informals as possible. Despite the sunshine, it was still pretty cold outside but we did okay! Here's a few of my faves...
